The Valley of Fire State Park in Moapa Valley, NV has incredible hiking trails. This one, marked by small posts and cairns, travels over large expanses of rolling sandstone formations that appear to be striped. Along the way, small reflecting ponds reflect the brilliant blue sky, and cactus blossoms delight the hikers. This painting won the "People's Choice" award in a show of 200+ paintings at a fine art show sponsored by SCS Art Club in 2025
